Dana Meadows and the world in 2050

Donella “Dana” Meadows was a systems thinker and author of the column the Global Citizen.  She coauthored the book Limits to Growth. (…If you haven’t read this, shut down your computer immediately & do so now. Go on, shoo.)

When she passed away in 2001, she left a big hole in the sustainability community. Her friends and colleagues at the Sustainability Institute set up a fellowship in her honor.

The purpose: train mid-career sustainability professionals in systems thinking, advocacy and inquiry, and the art of visioning the future we want.

…For a Friday afternoon video break, check out a video made by the third cohort of Dana Meadows Leadership fellows. The guitar music is from the multitalented Mike Dupee, who is VP of Corporate Social Responsibility for the extremely tasty Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.

“… You can’t make it happen if you can’t even imagine it.”

Amen.

happy weekend, everyone!
